Moscow Custom & Tuning Show
Moto Park Expo Crocus Expo Center, Moscow, Russia
April 2nd – 4th 2010
Some 30 custom bikes from all across Russia competed at the second annual Official World Championship of Custom Bike Building affiliate event in downtown Moscow at Easter.
For the second year running, the AMD affiliate Sturgis prize was taken by FCM (Fine Custom Mechanics) of Moscow with a project fittingly called “Moscow”. The project was inspired by their experiences at last year’s World Championships, and by the work of leading Dutch custom designer Mark van der Kwaak.
Winning Motorcycle “Moscow”
Having scooped 7th place with “Moscow” at this year’s AMD European Championship in Germany in March, FCM is building a strong reputation of World Championship success, having also pulled joint 18th at Sturgis last year with “Bender”, their 2009 Moscow affiliate winner.

As the only custom v-twin builder who is a licensed manufacturer in Russia and thus able to issue VIN numbers for their bikes, their success, along with that of other Russian builders, points to there being a real growth in custom bike culture in Russia.
Those others include Yuri Shif (also a former European Championship competitor and winner of this year’s international prize at Moto Bike Expo, Verona, Italy in January) and Fitel-DMC (Alexandr Fitisov), who won the Moscow affiliate event in 2008. They are dramatic proof that the initiative which organizer and RURiders.com editor-in-chief Dimitri Khitrov took in affiliating his event with the World Championships looks to be paying off handsomely.
Dimitri stages the Moscow Custom & Tuning Show at Russia’s largest motorcycle expo, Motopark. This is a formula which exposes the work of Russia’s nascent v-twin industry to over 60,000 motorcycle enthusiasts.
